Scavenger- Danielle Savage 2013

These stuffy bureaucrats, they drink their faces off,
They'll keep going, as long as it's on the house, yeah.
One woman looks at me, she closes in on me,
She feels entitled to take a picture
She did not need to ask, I guess that's how we bask, in the glory of a world without privacy.

Oh, thank god we're sneaky people
Oh, Living off the fat.
Oh, just because it's a consensual story,
Don't mean it's the only,
The only plot.

I used to get so angry, but it's all ludicrous,
I enter suspension of disbelief, yeah.
These vacant bureaucrats, they're wearing many hats,
And you can be sure they all cost a fortune.
They do it on our dime, it's using up our time,
And we're too busy to get offended.
They do not need to ask, I guess that's how we bask, in a world where the truth is stranger than fiction.
